Build Real Investing Skills That Actually Stick

You know what's interesting? Most people think investing is this mysterious thing reserved for finance professionals or people with economics degrees. But that's not really true at all.

Our learning program started back in mid-2024 because we kept meeting people who wanted to understand investing but felt overwhelmed by the usual courses. Too much jargon. Not enough practical stuff. So we built something different – a program that treats you like an actual person, not a textbook.

We focus on regular investing strategies that fit into normal life. The kind you can actually apply when you're sitting at your kitchen table with a cup of coffee, not day-trading from some fancy office.

How the Program Flows

We've organized everything into four phases that build on each other. Each one takes about six to eight weeks, and you move at your own pace. The whole thing typically runs from September through March, though we've had people stretch it out longer when life gets busy.

1

Foundation Work

We start with the fundamentals – what markets actually are, how different investment types work, and why people make the decisions they do. No assumptions about what you already know.

2

Strategy Development

This is where things get practical. You'll learn about dollar-cost averaging, portfolio balance, and risk management. We use real examples from Australian markets because that's what you'll be working with.

3

Application Phase

Now you start building your own approach. We work through scenarios, run calculations, and figure out what makes sense for your situation. You'll make plenty of mistakes here – that's the point.

4

Ongoing Practice

The last phase is about developing habits. You'll track some mock portfolios, adjust strategies based on changing conditions, and learn to avoid common behavioral traps that mess people up.

Who You'll Learn From

Our mentors aren't famous investors or TV personalities. They're people who've been doing this work for years and actually enjoy explaining things. They remember what it's like to be confused by financial statements and nervous about making decisions.

Kiran Pemberton, lead investment mentor and financial educator

Kiran Pemberton

Lead Mentor

Spent fifteen years working with individual investors before joining us. He's particularly good at breaking down complex market behavior into understandable patterns. Based in Melbourne, works remotely with participants across Australia.

Tobias Haraldsen, portfolio strategy specialist and investment advisor

Tobias Haraldsen

Strategy Advisor

Teaches the portfolio construction modules. He comes from a research background and brings that analytical approach to helping people understand asset allocation. Answers questions like he's sitting across from you at a cafe.

Lachlan Fitzroy, behavioral finance expert and investment psychology coach

Lachlan Fitzroy

Behavioral Coach

Focuses on the psychological side – why we panic during market drops, how to stick with a strategy when things feel uncertain. He's worked with hundreds of investors and seen every mistake you can imagine (and made plenty himself).

What Changes After You Finish

You Understand Your Decisions

The biggest shift people notice is confidence in their own judgment. Not because they suddenly know everything, but because they understand their reasoning and can explain why they're making specific choices.

Market News Makes Sense

Financial headlines stop feeling like a foreign language. You'll still see plenty of noise and hype, but you can filter out what matters for your strategy versus what's just drama.

You Have a Sustainable Approach

This isn't about get-rich-quick schemes. You'll develop an investing approach that fits into your actual life – something you can maintain for years without burning out or making emotional decisions.

You Know When to Adjust

Markets change. Your life changes. The program teaches you how to recognize when your strategy needs updating versus when you should just stay the course. That distinction matters more than people realize.

27
Weeks of Content

Delivered through weekly modules with supplementary materials. Most participants finish within eight months, though you can extend that timeframe based on your schedule.

180+
Practical Exercises

Real scenarios to work through, calculations to practice, and portfolio examples to analyze. The program is deliberately hands-on because reading about investing isn't the same as doing it.

12
Months Support Access

After you complete the core program, you keep access to mentor office hours and community discussions. We've found people benefit from ongoing connection as they apply what they've learned.

Next Session Starts September 2025

We run two cohorts each year – one starting in March, another in September. The autumn session kicks off September 15th, with enrollment opening in July. If you're interested in joining, reach out so we can answer your questions and make sure it's a good fit.
